Beauty For Ashes

…To provide for those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.

They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.
Isaiah 61:3  

Selfless love hanging on that tree

Selfless love poured out for all to see

Selfless love longing for you and me

Jesus, his love it sets us free

When we receive

Jesus, your love it sets us free

Though we mourn, we will receive a crown of beauty for ashes

The oil of gladness, to replace the sadness

And clothes of praise, to replace the spirit of sorrow

Jesus gives us hope for healing with each tomorrow

We will be called trees of goodness

Trees planted by the Lord to show of his greatness

We will be called oaks of righteousness

Trees planted by the Lord to show of his glory

His love is worth the fight

His life is worth my life

His love is worth the cost

His love and life redeemed that which was lost!

His love redeems the lost!

For I consider these present sufferings not worth comparing

To the glory that will be revealed to us

Jesus is worth it all
